Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that choosing memorial jewellery or an urn comes with many questions. Here are the answers to the ones we hear most often.
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons families choose us. Our memorial jewellery showroom in Nuneaton is a calm, private space where you can see every piece, try them on, compare sizes and metals, and take as long as you need. There is never any pressure. Private appointments are available, and walk-ins are always welcome.
Most pieces are ready within 4 to 6 weeks from the moment we receive your materials and confirm your order. If you have a meaningful date in mind, such as a birthday, anniversary or memorial, please let us know and we will always try our best to meet it.
Yes. Most ashes jewellery orders include a filling kit as standard, with everything you need to add ashes or hair at home. If you prefer, you can visit our showroom and we will fill and seal the piece for you.
No. You never need to post ashes if you do not feel comfortable doing so. You can bring a small amount of ashes or hair to our Nuneaton showroom and we will fill and seal your jewellery on site. Many families choose this option for complete peace of mind. If you do prefer to use our postal service, we provide a fully tracked, tamper-proof returns kit with everything you need.
Only a tiny amount. For ashes, around half a teaspoon is enough. For hair, a small lock about the width of a pencil. Any unused ashes or hair are carefully sealed, clearly labelled and returned to you safely with your finished jewellery. We never discard anything.
From the moment ashes or hair arrive with us, everything is labelled immediately, stored in a secure dedicated area and handled individually. We follow a strict chain of custody process. Ashes are never mixed, never left unattended and never placed near another family's materials. We treat this responsibility with absolute care.
Absolutely. Many families choose to keep a portion of ashes in a keepsake urn and share the rest among loved ones, or combine an urn with one or more pieces of memorial jewellery. We offer a range of keepsake urns and jewellery designed for exactly this purpose.
Yes. You can either send us two separate portions and we will mix them together, or send a pre-mixed teaspoon. Many families find comfort in combining the ashes of two loved ones into a single piece of memorial jewellery.
Our pieces are designed for everyday wear. The ashes or hair chamber is sealed securely. We recommend removing jewellery before swimming or bathing to preserve the finish over time.
Ashes jewellery contains a small chamber holding cremation ashes or hair inside the piece. Fingerprint jewellery has a loved one's fingerprint engraved onto the surface. Some pieces offer both options, so you can combine the two in a single piece.
We will send out a fingerprint kit if they do not already have a fingerprint available. If they do have a fingerprint, a good quality photo is all we need.
The simplest way to choose is to weigh the ashes. As a general guide, 1 kg of ashes requires approximately 1 litre of urn capacity. All our urns are measured in litres. A standard adult cremation produces around 2.5 to 3.5 kg of ashes, so a 3 to 4 litre urn will suit most adults. For pets, the same approach applies. If you are unsure, we are happy to help you choose.
Yes. We have a dedicated pet memorial jewellery collection. Most pieces can hold a small amount of your pet's ashes or a lock of fur. We also offer paw print engraving using an impression kit, an ink print, or a clear photograph of the paw.
